Music has held a significant place in the life of First Church for generations. Since the 1700’s with the introduction of hymn singing in this early colonial church, music and song have been vibrantly present here. People in this beautiful quintessential New England house of worship see music as a profound and meaningful pathway by which one can truly experience God.
Song enriches and adds depth to Sunday worship. It is an expression of joy and praise that comes directly from the soul, opening a window in the heart to give all an experience of the incredible wonder and mystery of God’s presence.
