The goal of our Children & Youth Ministries at First Church of Christ is for each young person to know they are a magnificent creation of the Divine, and to develop an awareness of God’s love for all people.
To call a Congregation to be faithful to the Gospel and to experience fulfillment through spiritual and personal commitment to the word of God as revealed through the ministry and teachings of Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

First Church is extremely proud and supportive of our denominational affiliation United Church of Christ. We also seek to continue to affirm our New England congregational heritage. First Church of Christ has a rich and long history. The congregation has been in existence since 1697.

Our Church History
First Church of Christ in Simsbury was founded in 1697 and has a rich history spanning over three centuries. Many souls have worshiped here over the decades. The congregation has endured through multiple meeting houses, fire and social change and today is a vibrant faith community rich in spiritual opportunities for people of all shapes, sizes, colors, ages, ideas and backgrounds.
