Presenting good music to our members and to those in the surrounding communities in concert form has long been an outreach and a vehicle for musical growth for First Church.  We are fortunately well set-up to have groups and individuals come and share their talents, both in the sanctuary for more formal presentations, as well as in Palmer Hall, out gathering hall, for more intimate events.  Over the years we have presented a variety of musical offerings, from jazz to folk to classical and everything in between.

Each year we are privileged to host the Farmington Valley Chorale for their annual Christmas concert, where they hold two sell-out performances. We are excited to be holding, for the second year in a row, an excellent Christmas concert featuring the Hockanum Valley Ringers, an exceptional regional handbell choir.  We host some of the area’s best jazz musicians, and annually feature internationally-known individuals and singing and instrumental groups.  A “Sweet Adelines” chorus, the Farmington Valley Chorus, rehearses once a week on premises, as well as the Valley Saxophone Quartet.

We are always open to any ideas for performers, and welcome any contribution that can be given to anyone, from publicity to sound production to artist relations.
