Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

~Ephesians 5:19-20

Music is, and always has been, an integral part of our worship at First Church. It helps us reflect who we are, where we have traveled, and where we are heading. As a whole congregation, we sing in many parts of the service. Plus, there are members with various musical talents who contribute in many ways to bring a diversity of musical experiences to our services.  Music helps to deliver the weekly message; it enhances our worship experience, and lifts our spirits as worshippers – it’s a non-verbal way by which we can be stirred to the depths of our being – a window through which we all can experience God.

There are a number of opportunities for individuals to find expression of their personal faith through our music program.  Every one of our groups is open to anyone who wishes to embrace them – no auditions needed. All that is required is a desire to come and be part of the program. There are opportunities to participate if you don’t sing, but play an instrument (no matter what style); and there are even possibilities to take part in music production by helping with our concert series or being part of our A-V team. So if you like music; if you like to sing, play an instrument, or even to listen, there is a place for you.
